Build the Foundation of Your Equine Bodywork Career

Develop the skills, knowledge, and professional confidence every equine bodyworker needs—starting with massage.

The Equine Kneads Massage Certification Program is the first step and most comprehensive offering in our academy. This year-long, hybrid program is designed to take you from foundational understanding to running a successful business, preparing you to work thoughtfully, confidently, and effectively with horses in a professional setting.

You’ll develop a deep understanding of equine anatomy, movement, and compensation patterns while learning how to assess, think critically, and apply massage techniques with intention. This isn’t about memorizing routines—it’s about learning how to read the horse in front of you and respond appropriately.

Through structured online education and in-person practicums, you’ll build the clinical reasoning, hands-on skill, and professional standards needed to confidently support horses and collaborate within a broader care team.

By the end of the program, you’ll be prepared to deliver professional-level equine massage, communicate clearly with clients and care teams, and lay the groundwork for a sustainable, credible career in equine wellness.

This program isn’t just a certification—it’s the foundation everything else is built on.

MASTER TARGETED TECHNIQUES TO SUPPORT EQUINE MOBILITY AND WELLNESS

Hands-On, Region-Specific Training

As part of the Equine Kneads Certification Program, students gain in-depth, region-specific training in equine massage and bodywork, developing the skills to enhance mobility, relieve tension, and support overall equine wellness.

This training is delivered through focused, region-specific modules that emphasize both assessment and application.

Cervical, Thoracic & Lumbar Massage

Students learn techniques for the horse’s neck, back, and lumbar regions, targeting key muscle groups and structures to improve flexibility, release tension, and support overall spinal mobility.

Pelvic & Hindquarter Massage

Education focused on the pelvis and hindquarters, teaches methods to address tightness, enhance range of motion, and promote fluid movement in these critical areas for performance and daily function.

Cranial Massage

Students explore techniques for the head, neck, and jaw, addressing tension, TMJ-related issues, and promoting relaxation for both physical comfort and overall equine well-being.

Limb Massage

Front and hind limb massage techniques are covered to improve circulation, support muscular and tendon health, enhance athletic performance, and aid in injury prevention.

The Equine Kneads Certification Program is designed to move you beyond simply learning techniques and into understanding when, why, and how to apply equine massage and bodywork thoughtfully. This program emphasizes practical, evidence-informed application so your skills become a strategic, professional part of your work with horses rather than isolated techniques.

Throughout the program, you’ll build the knowledge and confidence to assess horses, select appropriate treatments, and communicate your decisions with clarity—ensuring every session supports the horse’s comfort, function, and long-term wellness.

By the end of the program, you’ll be able to:

  • Identify and palpate anatomical structures with confidence
  • Recognize behavioral and physical signs of discomfort or dysfunction

REAL STORIES, REAL RESULTS

Meet our Students

Maggie

I had previously completed another certification course, but still felt like there were gaps in my foundation. Taking the Certification course with Christina and Equine Kneads helped me fill those holes in a way I didn’t even realize I was missing. It changed how I approach my clients and their horses, gave me a stronger and healthier mindset around my work, and ultimately made me feel far more confident in my skills. I walked away feeling grounded, capable, and truly supported in my growth as an equine bodyworker.

Alizeigh

Taking this program was such an amazing experience from start to finish. It was incredibly in-depth and offered the perfect balance of detailed instruction and hands-on practice. I really appreciated begin able to apply what we were learning in real time, which helped build my confidence and skill set. The course material is very thorough, easy to revisit and full of valuable information that continues to support me in my work. I would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in equine massage — it's an excellent foundation and truly sets you up for success.

McKenna

Equine Kneads Professional Massage Program provided me with the knowledge and confidence to launch my own business. I'm excited to meet the unique needs of each horse I work with and provide tailored care. Moving forward, I’m eager to continue expanding my knowledge and skills to better serve both horses and their owners.

Brandi

Equine Kneads Academy Professional Equine Massage Certification gave me everything I needed to not only become a NBCAAM certified equine massage therapist, but also to start and run my equine massage business successfully. This course is for those that truly want to be professionals in the industry of equine bodywork. This course has a strong focus not only on massage and massage techniques, but learning the anatomy, biomechanics, proper note taking, ethics, and more. This course also provides some guidance on how to start your business, because of this I was able to have my business set up and going with in 2-3 weeks of graduating and successfully growing that business month after month.

Heather

Taking Equine Kneads Academy’s Equine Massage Certification Program has been a gamechanger for me.  After working as a nurse for many years I was ready to make a change in my work life.  Christina encouraged me to take her course, reassuring me that my nursing skills and knowledge would be an asset while taking the course.  I could not be happier!  Her course does more than teach how to massage a horse, it drills down into why a horse may be experiencing disfunction in the first place.  With continued access to the course material as an alum I can also go back and refresh my knowledge when a tricky case presents itself.  I cannot recommend this bodywork education enough!

Chelsea

My journey with Equine Kneads Academy has been nothing short of remarkable. From the moment I enrolled in the Professional Equine Massage Certification program, I knew I was in good hands. Christina's dedication to her students' success, combined with the program's emphasis on holistic learning, has enabled me to grow both personally and professionally.

The Professional Equine Massage Certification has equipped me with the necessary confidence, knowledge, and skills to thrive in the industry and establish my business shortly after graduation.

I chose Equine Kneads Academy due to its exceptional standards, which set it apart from the rest. The academy ensures that students receive comprehensive training, covering essential topics such as proper note-taking, medical terminology, ethics, and the business aspects of the profession.

Meet Kandice

Kandice came to Equine Kneads after completing two other massage programs, knowing she wanted more. While she had learned techniques, she felt gaps in her understanding—particularly in how anatomy connects, how the nervous system influences movement, and how to apply that knowledge confidently in practice. She was also struggling to get her business off the ground.

Through Equine Kneads Academy and hands-on mentorship, those gaps began to close. Kandice gained a deeper understanding of biomechanics and how the equine body’s systems work together, allowing her to better meet her clients’ needs.

Today, Kandice approaches her work with clarity and professionalism, handling complex situations with confidence and building a stable, sustainable bodywork practice.
